ITINERARY - LET'S GO!

DAY 1:

LET'S MEET IN ROVANIEMI in LAPLAND!

Are you ready for this exciting journey?
We remind you that you manage the flights in complete autonomy and today we are waiting for you all in Rovaniemi. Free evening and dinner.

We will give you information on the arrival time so that we can all meet at the airport or in the apartment, where your adventure companions will be waiting for us! We will talk about travel, dreams and we will get to know each other better to prepare for all the wonders that await us, and who knows if we will already be lucky and see the Northern Lights on the first evening!
Overnight stay in Rovaniemi area.

DAY 2:

DISCOVERING KEMI AND THE ICE CASTLE

After free breakfast in our accommodation, transfer to the seafront of Kemi, the town that borders the "frozen" sea. Located right on the Bothnian Bay, the city is famous because in winter the majestic Kemi Castle is built, it stands like in a fairytale world of the freezing Finnish winter (extra entrance, not included - check if they will build the castle this year) . Every January, local professional designers are commissioned to design and rebuild the unique snow castle. It only begins to melt when the bright sunlight begins to peek through the clouds in spring. Along with the impressive castle walls, more than twelve feet high, the area is also home to a hotel, an art gallery, and a chapel, where some people even travel across the world to celebrate their wedding. Alternatively, if the Ice Castle is not built or finished, we could visit the exhibition "The SnowExperience365" (open all year, entrance not included €10.00 per person). Free lunch in the town. For those who want an extra activity in the afternoon, you can board the Icebreaker for a 3 and a half hour cruise on the frozen expanse of the Gulf of Bothnia (not included, €248.30 per person – H 1.00pm-4.30pm) . During navigation, guests will be shown the history of the ship, the construction characteristics and functioning of an icebreaker: how ice forms in the sea and its dynamics. Having reached the open sea, breaking the layer of ice beneath it, the Icebreaker stops to allow an "Arctic bath". After wearing the special floating thermal suits, which guarantee maximum safety and waterproofness, you go down the ship's ramp and slide into the water between the floating ice blocks. It is also possible to walk freely on the layer of sea ice surrounding the ship. Return to our accommodation and overnight stay in the Rovaniemi area.

DAY 3:

WALKING AROUND ROVANIEMI (Optional: Artikum Museum & Reindeer Sleigh)

After free breakfast in our accommodation, we will dedicate the day to visiting Rovaniemi, the true gateway to the Arctic, an urban oasis in the middle of wild nature where culture, outdoor activities and a fairytale landscape meet. For those who want, you can visit the Arktikum Museum (optional entry not included, €18 per person), a unique site to learn about the life, history and culture of the northern lands. In the early afternoon, for those who want, it is possible to take an optional excursion to visit a local reindeer farm and meet the people who live on the farm (Optional trip to see the reindeer not included, approx €98.00 per person). Here we will be able to feed the reindeer and in winter take a sleigh ride in the park. Reindeer are an inseparable part of Lapland's nature. Reindeer herding as a way of life is at least 500 years old. After the visit, a short reindeer sleigh ride. Overnight stay in Rovaniemi area.

DAY 4:

LET'S MOVE TO THE NORTH - HUNTING FOR THE NORTHERN LIGHTS in SAARISELKA

Today we will leave Rovaniemi to reach the Inari area and go further north. It will be a journey of a few hours by car/minivan in which we will enjoy from our windows the slow passing of the magical snow-covered landscapes of Lapland as far as the eye can see. During the journey there may be frequent crossings of reindeer and, with a bit of luck, even moose. Relaxing afternoon dedicated to sauna and walks in the arctic nature. After free dinner we will prepare for another great adventure: we will go hunting for the Northern Lights. We'll travel by car to cover longer distances, going to areas with clearer, cloud-free skies to increase our chances, and then we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed! Overnight stay in Saariselka area.

DAY 5:

WE MOVE TO INARI (Snowmobile Frozen Lake & Glass Cabin under the Northern Lights)

This morning after free breakfast, we will head to small Inari, the center of Finland's Sami culture. Tour in this cute Nordic town and possibility to visit the Sami Museum - Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center (not included, €15.00 per person). After a free lunch, in the afternoon get ready for a fun 2-hour snowmobile trip (1.00pm - 3.00pm), we will learn to drive the vehicle most used by Laplanders to move through the snow and ice. This snowmobile safari will teach you the basics of driving a snowmobile through the winter landscape of Inari. Depending on the weather, our guide will take you through the winter forest or over the vast, frozen Lake Inari. In the evening we will arrive at our wonderful accommodation where the magical Aurora cabins will be waiting for us, far from light pollution and right on Lake Inari. The cabins offer excellent views of the northern sky. With a bit of luck you will be able to admire the Northern Lights directly from your bed!

DAY 6:

RETURN TO ROVENIEMI (Santa Claus Village)

We will wake up calmly and after breakfast, we will return to Rovaniemi. We will arrive at our accommodation in the afternoon and then visit Santa Claus Village on the Arctic Circle, when the magic begins at sunset. You will have free time to explore the village and meet the local star, Santa Claus himself, who will be waiting for you in his office. You can also send a postcard to your loved ones directly from the village post office with Santa Claus's official stamp (for a fee). We will return at the end of the day with our hearts full of joy for the infinite emotions and we will enjoy the free dinner with lots of things to talk about, tired but happy.
Overnight in Rovaniemi.

DAY 7:

ADRENALINE IN ROVENIEMI (Husky Safari)

Get ready because you will remember this day for the rest of your life. After breakfast we will reach a husky farm, the sled dogs par excellence with their unstoppable desire to run, and we will drive a sled pulled by these formidable animals through a fairytale landscape, snow-covered forests, rivers and frozen lakes. Prepare yourself for one of the most powerful emotions of your life. Lunch and afternoon free for shopping. Overnight in Rovaniemi.
