WHEN TO SEE the LAVENDER FIELDS in PROVENCE
The best time to see lavender blooming is from late June to mid-August, but it varies depending on the variety of plant (lavender or Lavender), climate, altitude and latitude of the place you want to see. In order not to risk going to Provence and not witness the wonder of the lavender fields, check below the different areas where you can find lavender.

WHERE TO SEE the LAVENDER FIELDS in PROVENCE
Here are the main areas where you can find the most beautiful lavender fields in Provence (below you will also find an illustrative map):
Haute Provence & Verdon: here the lavender flowering begins towards the end of June and continues until mid-July, especially in the Valensole areas (our favorite), and until the beginning of August in the Verdon and Digne area.
Mont Ventoux & Luberon: here you can find lavender fields in bloom from the end of June to mid-July, especially in the Apt area, while in Forcalquier and on the Albion Plateau it continues until mid-August.
Drôme Nord / Diois: Here you will find lavender fields in bloom between mid-June and mid-July, while in the Diois area they continue to be there until August. The harvest instead begins around the beginning of July around Crest and continues until the beginning of August in the Diois areas.
Drôme Sud / Tricastin & Grignan: Here you will find lavender fields in bloom between mid-June and early July in the Tricastin and Grignan areas. It continues until mid-July in the higher areas such as Vinsobres Roche Saint Secret.
Drôme Est / Baronnies au Buëch: here the flowering in the lavender fields goes from the end of June in the Buëch valley until the beginning of July in the highest areas such as Laborel, Mévouillon, Ferrassières.
