Welcome to the Axel Hotel Venezia in the heart of the city and in the Dorsoduro district, located between the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute and the splendid Peggy Guggenheim Collection, a 20-minute walk from Piazza San Marco (a vaporetto stop) and the Doge's Palace. It is a hotel based on a Gay Oriented concept, although its motto is "we are heterofriendly". All this in a free and welcoming soul, in a perfect Venetian style building, with a terrace near the canal, a lounge bar and a big breakfast area.

The rooms in this hotel are simply wonderful. What impressed us most, in addition to the splendid private bathroom, is the Axel branded courtesy set that they provide in the room (there is even an Axel branded Condom). The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. If you're lucky, you can get rooms directly overlooking the canal next to the hotel.
