The weekend we spent at the Agriturismo B&B Corte Grisela Wine & Relax was a pleasant mix of Relaxation and Wine Tasting that helped us recharge our energies to better face the new season that is now upcoming. But let's start from the beginning.
We arrive in Brognoligo di Monteforte d'Alpone, a small town nestled between hills and beautiful vineyards. The farmhouse and the adjacent Tessari cellars are managed by the Tessari family (Grisela, on the other hand, was their nickname), in particular by the three brothers Cornelia, Antonio and Germano.
We find Cornelia for the welcome with her smile and her radiance who immediately puts us at ease and accompanies us to discover the room she has reserved for us. There are three rooms in Corte Grisela: defining them as rooms seems an understatement, the attention to detail, the mix of modern materials with wood and design furniture make them real suites.
Each room has the name of one of the three Tessari brothers and we had the honor of staying in the Cornelia suite where we find a fantastic tub with a slightly retro design in the middle of the room, tree trunks as bedside tables and a bottle of Soave Classic dipped in ice, ready to be uncorked. We couldn't have had a better welcome! But that's not all ... going upstairs a heated Jacuzzi and a relax area are available to guests. The elements for a weekend of relaxation and good wine are really all there.
The next morning we find a fantastic sweet and savory breakfast overlooking the vineyards: the perfect way to start a day dedicated to the discovery of Soave wine.
Staying at the Agriturismo B&B Corte Grisela Wine & Relax offers the opportunity to visit the Tessari vineyards, the Cellar and taste their wines. Could we have missed all this? Absolutely not! Our guide on this day to discover the Soave and the Tessari winery was Sara who with great sympathy and professionalism introduced us to a truly fascinating world that we almost completely ignored.
How to best conclude a visit to a winery if not with a tasting of the best wines produced here? And here Sara accompanied us on a sensory journey where each glass of wine has its own history, its characteristics and an explosion of taste that we have learned to distinguish and appreciate. A wine tasting is all this: a moment of relax during which you observe, know what you drink and, in doing so, appreciate it in every single aspect (thank you very much Sara for the pleasant experience!).
Soave Classico Doc, Garganega Extra Brut and Recioto di Soave Docg (our favorite!)
