The V8 Hotel is located in Böblingen, about 20 km from Stuttgart and stands on the area once occupied by the former Böblingen/Sindelfingen airport and today home to many car factories and the legendary Motorworld, a real world dedicated to car that houses "under one roof", as the motto suggests, workshops, showrooms, shops and restaurants. Entering the Motorworld is a truly unique experience, a journey through automotive history represented by the most beautiful vintage and modern examples of the best-known German car brands, and beyond. In the same pavilion there are also professional driving simulators, a flight simulator and conference rooms, among which the one that recreates the interior of an old plane stands out.

The location of the V8 Hotel in Böblingen is perfect for visiting the Baden-Württemberg region. Stuttgart, just 20 km away, can be easily reached by public transport (the metro stop is right behind the hotel). Here Mercedes-Benz and Porsche have their headquarters and associated museums.

Besides being the seat of the German automobile industry, there are many really nice cities to visit in this region. In addition to Stuttgart, we have reached and visited Karlsruhe, a small town with a beautiful castle, Heidelberg, Tübingen with its colorful houses and Ulm.
Baden-Württemberg ist ein deutsches Bundesland voller interessanter landschaftlicher und kultureller Sehenswürdigkeiten. Abgesehen davon, dass es der Sitz der deutschen Automobilindustrie ist, gibt es in dieser Region viele wirklich schöne Städte zu besuchen. Neben Stuttgart haben wir Karlsruhe, eine kleine Stadt mit einem wunderschönen Schloss, Heidelberg, Tübingen mit seinen bunten Häusern und Ulm erreicht und besucht.
But let's go back to the V8 Hotel. The first hotel built in 2009, the V8 Hotel Classic, was joined by a second larger and more modern one in 2018. Both hotels have classic rooms and themed rooms, one more beautiful than the other. Choosing which one is the best is really a difficult undertaking. Entering the V8 Hotel is like entering a car paradise: showroom next to the reception, luxury cars to welcome customers and a restaurant with a beautiful vintage-style van in the centre.
Aber zurück zum V8 Hotel. Dem 2009 erbauten ersten Hotel, dem V8 Hotel Classic, gesellte sich 2018 ein zweites größeres und moderneres hinzu. Beide Hotels verfügen über Classic-Zimmer und Themenzimmer, eines schöner als das andere. Die Wahl, welches das Beste ist, ist wirklich ein schwieriges Unterfangen. Das Betreten des V8 Hotels ist wie das Betreten eines Autoparadieses: Ausstellungsraum neben der Rezeption, Luxusautos zur Begrüßung der Kunden und ein Restaurant mit einem wunderschönen Van im Vintage-Stil in der Mitte.
THEMATIC ROOMS
We were lucky enough to see and try out some of the 10 themed rooms at the V8 Hotel. Each room is dedicated to a different car or to an experience related to the world of cars. Here every detail is taken care of down to the smallest detail and everything is car-themed, even the bar of soap found in the bathroom, strictly in the shape of a car, the chocolates and pens found in the room. Every automotive element featured in these rooms is original and unique. Real cars were used for the beds, as well as chairs made from car seats, tables with tires, road signs and much more.
Wir hatten das Glück, einige der 10 Themenzimmer im V8 Hotel zu sehen und auszuprobieren. Jedes Zimmer ist einem anderen Auto oder einem Erlebnis rund um die Welt der Autos gewidmet. Hier wird jedes Detail bis ins kleinste Detail gepflegt und alles ist dem Thema Auto gewidmet, sogar das Seifenstück im Badezimmer, das streng die Form eines Autos hat, die Pralinen und Stifte, die im Zimmer zu finden sind. Jedes automobile Element in diesen Zimmern ist originell und einzigartig. Für die Betten wurden echte Autos verwendet, sowie Stühle aus Autositzen, Tische mit Reifen, Verkehrszeichen und vieles mehr.
We spent the first night in the British Racing Room, the room dedicated to Jaguar and timeless English elegance. The tones are those of green and the bed is set in the unmistakable bodywork of the Jaguar XJ2.S. The room is really big, not to mention the shower.. huge!
Die erste Nacht verbrachten wir im British Racing Room, dem Raum, der Jaguar und zeitloser englischer Eleganz gewidmet ist. Die Töne sind grün und das Bett ist in die unverwechselbare Karosserie des Jaguar XJ2.S eingelassen. Das Zimmer ist wirklich groß, ganz zu schweigen von der Dusche ... riesig!
From Jaguar green we then moved on to the legendary blue and orange colors, typical of the Gulf brand. Here you sleep in the legendary Mini Cooper and every detail recalls the Gulf colors.

Another room that left us speechless is the Off Road where a Jeep-bed is ready to take guests on a journey through the woods and mountains, full of adventure (the orange Wrangler Jeep is really gorgeous!).

For those who have a passion for cinema, as well as for cars, the Drive-In Cinema Camera is perfect. What could be better than watching a good film (some DVDs are available in the room) lying down in a beautiful Cadillac with a ceiling of stars just like in real American Drive-Ins?

For Italians who want to feel at home, there is also a room dedicated to Italy. In the Forza Italia room (no political references, the staff assures us) the protagonist is an Alfa Romeo that immediately evokes the Bel Paese. As if that weren't enough, the bathroom is completely covered in the colors of the Italian flag.
Für Italiener, die sich wie zu Hause fühlen möchten, gibt es auch ein Italien gewidmetes Zimmer. Im Raum Forza Italia (keine politischen Bezüge, versichert uns das Personal) ist der Protagonist ein Alfa Romeo, der sofort an Bel Paese erinnert. Als ob das nicht genug wäre, ist das Badezimmer komplett in den Farben der italienischen Flagge gehalten.
You know the legendary Volkswagen Beetle? At the V8 Hotel there is also a room dedicated to him. In reality, upon entering this room one is projected into an enormous (38 square metres) Gas Station Shell with a beautiful Beetle-bed in the center with the unmistakable number 53 and the blue, white and red stripes just like in the Disney film The Love Bug.

If you think it's over, it's not. There is also the Car Wash Room, with real rotating brushes from a vintage car wash and a shower that lets you experience being in a real car wash with jets of air to dry after washing. Brilliant!

The thematic rooms of the V8 Hotel are many, but we cannot fail to mention the Mercedes Suite, obviously dedicated to the German brand. The suite is located in the former airport control tower. 120 square meters on four floors for exclusive use with a small kitchen, a freestanding tub in the center of the bathroom, a private sauna and, as if that weren't enough, a terrace from which to admire the entire MotorWorld area.
Die thematischen Zimmer des V8 Hotels sind zahlreich, aber wir dürfen die Mercedes Suite nicht unerwähnt lassen, die offensichtlich der deutschen Marke gewidmet ist.
