THE NEW "RADICOSAURUS of PLAZE" in Val di Non by MARCO MARTALAR
After the brand new Vaia Regeneration Dragon of Lavarone, the Lagorai Wolf, the Vaia Eagle (near Grigno), the Vaia Griffon of Tesino, and the Pradel Bear, here is a new work by Marco Martalar located in Val di Non, in the Le Plaze area, to guard the enchanting Lake Santa Giustina. The Radicosaur of Le Plaze was built with roots and wood collected directly from the lake, perfectly connecting it to this territory. Five meters tall and seven meters long, Martalar creates a creature that seems to have come from an enchanted tale: part feline, part reptilian. A fantastical being that ignites the imagination and brings out the sense of wonder that everyone carries within. Be careful, however, because the work will not last forever; the wood used has not been treated and is therefore destined to disappear. The Radicosaur is in a truly unique position: when the level of Lake Santa Giustina is high, the work will be partially submerged.

WHO IS MARCO MARTALAR?
The Radicosaur of the Plaze is not the first work of its kind created by artist Marco Martalar. In 2020, in Mezzaselva di Roana on the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, where he lives, Marco created a Winged Lion using 1,500 pieces of shrubs and trees felled by Vaia. At three meters tall and 4.5 meters long, it became the largest Winged Lion in the world. The artist soon followed with the Vaia Dragon in Lavarone, "a majestic work, a symbol of resilience and courage." This was followed by the Lagorai Wolf, inaugurated in 2022; the Vaia Eagle, inaugurated in 2023; the Vaia Griffon of Tesino, inaugurated in 2024; and the brand new Vaia Dragon, inaugurated in 2024. The Bear of Pradel was also inaugurated in 2024.

WORLD MAPPERS' TIPS to SEE and VISIT the RADICOSAURUS of LE PLAZE
Please be respectful of the area by parking in designated areas and not causing problems for residents.
Respect the area and the opera house by following the trail.
On a sunny day, you can also stop and sunbathe on the shores of Lake Santa Giustina.
Near the opera house, there's also a bar open all summer for aperitifs; the bar often hosts events and evenings.
In the same area, you can rent lounge chairs and umbrellas in the summer or take a kayak or canoe trip on Lake Santa Giustina.
The Radicosauro delle Plaze is easy to reach, even with children, and there are many other activities to do in Val di Non. We recommend the Parco Fluviale Novella, just a few kilometers from the opera house, to see one of the most beautiful canyons in Italy.
You should take advantage of the opportunity to see this new work of art right away, because being made of untreated wood, the Radicosaur will change over time, with the passing of the seasons, until it decomposes, following the philosophy of all Land Art.
