It all started when Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman, two friends from Southern California, fell in love with Costa Rica and the lifestyle of this place. Griffin and Paul got to know two local artisans (Jorge and Joaquin) and their colorful handmade bracelets. They ordered 400 to take home with them to San Diego. Here they put the bracelets on sale in a boutique in the city and within a few days they were all sold. Thus it was that what began with the sale of a few bracelets became a worldwide movement, with millions of bracelets sold to convey the message "Pura Vida" and do good. In fact, Pura Vida collaborates with charities all over the world (over 4 million dollars have been donated to date) and a part of the proceeds is donated to those who need it most.
But that's not all. Pura Vida works in a clean and eco-sustainable way to minimize the environmental impact of production by reducing the carbon emissions produced, recycling and committing to decrease the use of plastic in the packaging and shipping of Pura Vida products.
We fell in love with the Pura Vida line of products designed for Pride. Beautiful and colorful bracelets and anklets perfect to celebrate love in all its forms and spread the rainbow wave all over the world. We just put them on, but we really believe we will never take them off!
